Skmile Max:
Dental surgery
Photon One Skmile Max dental lasers enable practitioners to carry out soft or hard tissue procedures and treatments that are difficult to achieve with scalpels, including:
-
Removal of fibromas
-
Treatment of aphthous and herpetic lesions
-
Soft-tissue crown lengthening
-
Gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, and soft-tissue biopsies
-
and much more...
The Skmile Max is very effective for periodontal treatment, tissue bleeding control, and cosmetic purposes.
The productivity of the dental practice rises with the Photon One Skmile Max laser. Dentists can execute faster specific procedures since there is no need for anesthetics.
After proper clinical training Skmile Max laser systems will allow dentists to boost profitability and efficiency by reducing surgical times and simplifying soft and or hard-tissue procedures. It serves as an excellent marketing tool for dental practices while offering numerous advantages to patients.
Specifications and details:
– Diode laser wavelengths between 810-1,100 mm might not be effectively absorbed by soft tissues like gingiva and could be unsuitable for cutting or ablating soft tissue.
– Nd: YAG lasers can be utilized for soft tissue surgical procedures in the mouth, including gingivectomy, periodontal sulcular debridement, LANAP, frenectomy, biopsy, and coagulation of graft donor sites. The Nd: YAG laser wavelength is somewhat absorbed by tissue pigments like hemoglobin and melanin. These lasers are frequently utilized for cleaning and sterilizing periodontal pockets. Their ability to coagulate and form fibrin enables them to close treated pockets.
-The Co2 laser continues to be the most effective surgical laser for soft tissue, providing both cutting and hemostasis through photothermal means.
– Erbium lasers can work on both hard and soft tissues. They can serve various dental treatments and enable additional procedures to be performed without local anesthesia. Erbium lasers are effective for hard tissue applications such as bone cutting, causing minimal thermal and mechanical damage to surrounding tissues. These hard tissue treatments may demonstrate an outstanding healing reaction. Erbium lasers for soft tissue applications exhibit reduced hemostasis and coagulation capabilities compared to Co2 lasers.
– Er, cr: YSGG laser proved to be successful in gum depigmentation.
